The University is now required to comply with the EPSRC's Research Data Policy Framework (http://www.epsrc.ac.uk/about/standards/researchdata/) and in this context asks you to consider how any valuable research data generated during EPSRC funded research will be created, stored, organised, described and shared. You must fill out this brief form before your application for EPSRC funding can be considered to be complete (this applies even if Bristol is not the lead partner in the application). If you require any help or need further information please refer to the Research Data Service at http://data.bris.ac.uk/research or email data-bris@bristol.ac.uk

Overview

Do you intend to create research data as part of your project? Required

Research data is defined as recorded factual material commonly retained by and accepted in the scientific community as necessary to validate research findings; although the majority of such data is created in digital format, all research data is included in the EPSRC's Research Data Expectations irrespective of the format in which it is created.
